In The Crucible there are numerous characters that are viewed as hypocritical. The way The Crucible shows hypocrisy represents a few of the ways hypocrisy is today. Many of the characters play off that they are ay and pure but many are doing dreadful things. A single character who is hypocritical is John Proctor, who functions like he can respectful and pure when he committed coitus with Abigail Williams. In the play he admits that he failed to commit coitus and attempts to hide that, but eventually he declaration about it. An additional hypocritical figure would be Reverend Hale. Inside the play, he's trying to take Giles Corey's land and blame the witchcraft trials on so why he is choosing his terrain. Hale desires Giles to become convicted so the town may take his area. Giles ultimately ends up being crushed because he would not talk when ever be inhibited. At the end of the play a few of the characters who were convicting each of the people of being witches began backing away and seeing that they were eradicating innocent people. Parris by way of example wants to stop killing every one of the people as they wants to preserve his great name but not have people blame him for all the lifeless innocent people.
In the perform it presents hypocrisy today. The Crucible shows hypocrisy in the cathedral and authorities. I think there is certainly alot of hypocrisy in the church and federal government today. Like a catholic I have noticed many hypocrites who have are inside the church. The catholic house of worship will tell you to be good when everyone makes mistakes. Usually in the house of worship you have individuals that think they may be almighty and pure when just the same as you are and associated with same errors. There is also hypocrites in government. For example political figures we'll making smoking bans when they smoke cigarettes. The Crucible shows hypocrisy and that relates to present day hypocrites.
